DUBLIN, IRELAND, February 19, 2019 – Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors (“Rubicon”) is pleased to announce that the refinancing of two Irish PPP projects, the Schools Bundle 3 project and the N11 motorway project, have successfully reached financial close, with the support of the existing lenders, Bank of Ireland and EIB. Both projects are brownfield availability-based PPP projects with a track record of solid operations. The transactions are owned by BAM and PGGM through their successful joint venture BAM PPP PGGM Infrastructure Coöperatie U.A.
Rubicon Managing Director Christian Kummert stated, “We were able to achieve significant benefit to the key stakeholders from the refinancing of these transactions.”
These transactions follow the successful refinancing of five other PPP projects in Switzerland and the Netherlands with BAM-PGGM, where Rubicon also acted as a financial advisor to the respective concessionary company and their shareholders.
